Building a list of qualified prospects is a MUST in today’s digital landscape. So many people rely solely on their social media following but the big problem with that is that you (a) don’t own those prospects and (b) are up against each network’s algorithm and are often restricted with how often you can reach someone with your message.
Creating an e-mail marketing list is a fantastic way to get potential customers and clients onto a platform that you own so that you can continuously communicate with them and provide them value.
But, it’s more complicated than just adding names and e-mail addresses to a list. You need to think about who those individuals are, what they want, how you can help them and what you should be communicating to them on a regular basis. Segmenting your list to ensure people only receive what they are interested in is another consideration.
On top of all of that, you need to answer the questions: what tool do I want to use? How often do I want to mail my list? How do I segment them so that it’s most effective?
